Krewe d'Amusement

Who can belong to the krewe? The krewe is made up of children ages 2 through tenth grade. All of the krewe's activities are centered in Lafayette, but any child can participate regardless of where they reside in Acadiana. 

What fees are involved in membership? A family membership is $375 for one child, plus a fee of $50 for each additional child in the family. Additionally, a family is responsible for the expenses of each child's costume and parade throws. Optional purchases include photographs and official krewe apparel.

What does the family membership include? Membership entitles the family to full participation in krewe activities, including admission to age-appropriate krewe socials (we have a couple for the little kids and a couple for the big kids), two tickets to the Spectacular Ball, a keepsake DVD of the Spectacular Ball, a place for each child on one of the krewe's Mardi Gras parade floats,  and Members-Only access on the website.

How does my family apply? Simple...just click here to download the Membership Letter and the Membership Application Form. There will be a limit of 80 children for the 2010-2011. Children from different schools and Acadiana communities will be preferred this year. We are now accepting applications for the 2010-11 season. The last day to submit an application will be April 30, 2010. After that, you apply for a place on the krewe's waiting list. You will be contacted should an opening become available.
